About Us


Los Amigos of the East Los Angeles Library is a non-profit organization of volunteers operating the library bookstore.
Our mission is to raise funds for library services and community projects/events through bookstore sales and special on-site sale and boutique events.
Los Amigos fundraising efforts include:
- Operation of the Book Store
- Hosting Book Fair and Boutique Events
- Promoting Book and In-Kind Donations
- Program Partnerships & Sponsorships
- Annual Awards Dinner
The Chicano Resource Center
We are located in the library lobby and therefore use the library address.
We provide the library manager with monthly funds for library Programs and projects not funded by LA County.
All money raised is donated to the library to fund the purchase of new books, children’s programs, teen programs, adult programs, Chicano Resource Center events, participative family events and community outreach.
Our goal is to promote literacy, self-development and community enrichment.
